From Airport to City Centre

There are many ways to move from Kastrup Airport to Copenhagen city centre.

By Train

Train tickets

Tickets are available from the DSB ticket office above the railway station in Terminal 3. Tickets and travel cards are also available from ticket machines in the station area. Click the link below to see a map of the zones needed when travelling from Copenhagen Airport. The airport is located in the red zone, and the white numbers indicate the number of zones passengers need to pay for to reach their destination zone:

Note: (To reach Copenhagen Central Station – København H or Nørreport Station, passengers must purchase three zones or more)

How to take the train to and from Copenhagen Airport

The ticket office is located in Terminal 3 above the railway station. There are lifts and travolators between the platforms and Terminal 3. You can take the free shuttle bus which runs between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, where the station is located. The bus journey lasts about 5 minutes.

Note: Moving with regional trains is the fastest way to get to the Kastrup Lufthavn airport (or city centre). It takes around 12mins

 

By Metro

Tickets

Tickets for the Metro are available at the Metro station and at the DSB ticket sales counter in Terminal 3. Please note that the ticket machines do not accept notes, only coins and cards such as the Dankort, VISA, etc. The ticket for metro is the same as the one for regional train and it works also by counting the zone. The airport is located in the red zone, and the white numbers indicate the number of zones passengers need to pay for to reach their destination zone:

How to travel by Metro to and from the airport

The Metro station is located at the end of Terminal 3 and is covered by the roof of the terminal. The Metro operates at 4-6 minutes’ intervals during the day and evening hours and at 15-20 minutes’ intervals during the night. The travel time from Nørreport Station to the airport is 15 minutes.

 

By Bus

Free Airport Shuttle Bus

The free shuttle bus departs from Terminal 1 (Domestic), and Terminal 2 and 3 (International). Train Station in Terminal 3. Parkingareas P15 and P17.
Every day from 04.30 – 23.30 (last bus from Terminal 1) every 15 minutes.
Every night from 23.30 – 04.30 every 20 minutes.

Please note! On 24 and 31 December there is no bus to Terminal 1 (domestic) from 6pm. The bus leaves every 15 minutes.

Set down

Taxis can set down passengers outside Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.

Pick up

Taxis can pick up passengers outside all arrivals areas (Terminal 1 and Terminal 3).
