Ten papers were given high praises by reviewers and meta-reviewers alike. Two of these have been selected as Best Papers of SMC 2012 by the Chair and Technical Paper Committee (Bob L. Sturm, Sofia Dahl, Stefania Serafin) in collaboration with Doug Keislar of The Computer Music Journal. The winners will be announced soon, and are invited to submit a revised and expanded version for publication in a future issue of The Computer Music Journal. Congratulations to all!

From Wednesday to Saturday we will have a boat taking participants from the technical sessions in Sydhavn to the music events in Østebro and Christianshavn.

SMC 2012 has announced the accepted contributions for the technical program. We received in total 142 submissions, and we accepted 78.
Tutorial contributions

We welcome submissions of proposals for half-day or full-day tutorials to take place on July 11th.
Any tutorial which covers topics related to SMC are welcome.
Tutorials should be submitted as a maximum one-page description to be sent by email to sts (at) create.aau.dk by April 15th.
Instructors of selected tutorials will receive free full registration to the conference.
