Call for papers

The SMC05 organizers invite to submit papers related, but in no way limited, to the conference topics. Besides usual presentations of a paper with a talk, presentations with posters and or with interactive demonstrations are encouraged. Posters and interactive demonstrations will by no means considered as a second choice form of communication. The scientific committee will organize guided tours of posters and interactive demonstrations. posters or posters describing interactive presentations. Preliminary and final versions of the documents must be submitted online, through the SMC05 website. Printed papers sent via postal mail will not be accepted.

Submission types

  • Paper (12 pages maximum)

  • Poster and a paper (12 pages maximum)

  • Interactive demonstration (1 page max. description with main arguments and hardware requirements)
    and a paper (12 pages maximum)

LaTeX and MS Word templates for papers and posters

Submission instructions

The review process will be performed from the electronic submissions. Papers must be written in English, following the double-columns LaTeX or Word template and making sure to use the A4 (210mm by 297mm or 8.27" by 11.69") layout. Posters must be prepared according to the LaTeX template (using up to 4 columns).
Papers must be submitted in either PostScript or Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF) format (LaTeX users must use PostScript Type 1 fonts, Postscript Type 3 fonts will not be accepted). Please verify that the final version of your PostScript or PDF file prints correctly to a PostScript printer before submission. Documents that do not print correctly will not be reviewed.

Submissions must be received no later than June 15, 2005
Review results will be communicated to the submitting authors by email no later than September 26, 2005
Final papers must be completed and submitted before the final deadline October 28, 2005
