The SMC2011 Best Paper Award has been granted to the paper Ljudskrapan/The Soundscraper: Sound exploration for children with complex needs, accommodating hearing aids and cochlear implants, by Kjetil Falkenberg Hansen, Christina Dravins, and Roberto Bresin. The awarding ceremony has taken place on Fri. July 8th, during the conference dinner, between the meat and the dessert. Congratulations!

Social Program updated: on the opening day (wed. July 6), we will offer a welcome cocktail reception to all SMC2011 registered participants. This will happen at the Conservatory, immediately after the end of opening concert. The reception will start approx. at 20.00-20.30. See also the updated Program table.

Selection completed and notifications sent to authors. We were able to accept 83 papers (35 oral presentations + 48 posters) among 136 submissions (AR: 61%). We were able to accept 17 music works among 77 submission (AR: 22%).

A preliminary draft of the conference program, with related social events, is now available.
Info about registration has also been updated. The registration form will officially open in about one week from now.

Submissions are now closed. We are happy to announce that have received 130 submissions for the Technical Program and 75 submissions for the Music Program.

We just been informed by EasyChair that there will be an unexpected server maintenance, starting at 2011-03-23 00:05 until 2011-03-23 06:00:00 (UK time). During this time frame it will not be possible to submit contributions to SMC2011 through EasyChair. We are sorry for the service interruption.
